ABSTRACT
The antibacterial effects od seaweeds extracts, Gracilaria sp.and Caulerpa sp. was tested on three pathogenic bacteria, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia Coli using the filter paper Disc-Agar Palte Method. Result showed that both extracts had antibacterial properties on the three test organism as shown by the zone of inhibition after 24 hours.
Multiple Range Test showed that there is no significant difference between the antibacterial effect of Gracilaria sp. and Caulerpa sp. on the test organism.
