ABSTRACT
This One Group Pretest-Posttest Study in a complete randomized design determined the effectiveness of the wastewater treatment process designed by the researcher for coconut oil refinery in terms of set parameter values, settle able, solids, filterable solids, dissolve solids, pH, color, and odor. A volume of wastewater sample from the Visayas Coco Development Inc. was subjected to this wastewater treatment process. The effectiveness of the process was determined by protesting the said set parameters.
The results of this study showed significantly improve parameter values of the effluent wastewater. The process proved to be effective in reducing the hazardous components of the wastewater before they will be disposed to a recieving body of water. Of the five parameters compared with the DENR standards for class C inland waters for new or proposed industries, only the final parameter value for filterable solids did not pass the standards, while the rest of the values of the parameters in this study, settle able solid, dissolve, an pH, passed the set standards.
