ABSTRACT
Using the Static Group Comparison Design, this study aimed to determined that effect of the air-conditioner setting on human work output. It was hypothesized that there exists no significant difference in the number of outputs produced by the workers in Temperature settings 2, 4, 6 and 8, and room temperature. Three workers were tasked to work in different air-conditioner settings in the same room. The number of packs they produced in the other temperature settings. The study was conducted at the Arevalo Public Market in December 2002. Results were subjected to different statistical data analysis, using the mean and standard deviation as descriptive statistical tools , and the One Way Analysis of Variance set at 0.05 alpha level of significance and the Scheffe test, as inferential statistical tools.
The results showed a significant difference in the number of products at different air-conditioner settings. The most number of work output was observed in temperature Setting 6 while the least number of outputs was at room temperature.
