ABSTRACT
This One-Spot Case Study determined and compared the tensile strength of the bamboo rope and abaca rope. It was hypothesized that there is no significant difference in the tensile strength of the bamboo rope and abaca rope. Data gathered from this study were treated statistically, with the mean of the tensile strength and the standard deviation as descriptive statistical tools, and the t-test for independent sample means, set at 0.05 alpha level of significance, as inferential statistical tools.
The results of this study showed that there is no significant difference in the tensile strengths of the bamboo and abaca ropes, proving that bamboo rope is a possible alternative to the abaca rope.
